Show Court Cases in PI. Grove Light in Sept. "It could be the effects of the ste:l strike," said Judge C. O. Newman Tuesday morning. The Judge was commenting on the relatively light City Court Calendar Cal-endar for the month of Sept. The report even shows a decrease de-crease in the number of speeders, there being only 15 who drove too fast last month. September was a busy month for police officers as .the "minor "min-or matters" of their day by day report indicate. The following sampling may prove interesting. Man reported the loss of a heifer found same in pasture west of town. Woman jumped out of a oar in Lindon; took iher to hospital. Impounded a boy's car at mother's request. Took mother and child suffering suffer-ing with convulsions to doctors office. Listened to a woman who reported the 'theft of hieir torn turkey. Investigated report of dog biting a boy on a bicycle; warned warn-ed the owner. (Stopped a boy who was beating his girl friend. Investigated case of indecent exposure. Firei cracker trouble in Third ward. Gave warning to two BYU boys for excessive speed. Caught two Texans who broke into school lunch room. Man gave a woman trouble; she shrew a flower pot at him. Held two boys for Texas officers. Picked up person who dropped dog out of car. Took a sick man to Orem. Took medicine to family who had no transportation. Lights on all night at Junior H.S. ; told custodian. Gave a transient man a bed for the night and breakfast. break-fast. Helped a woman start her car. Peeping Tom reported in northwest north-west part of town. Visited Central Cen-tral School on dog trouble. Listened Lis-tened to a man who had wife trouble, declined to act as witness. |
