Show Council Meeting Short Monday, Business Discussed Members of the Pleasant Grove City Council met in a relatively short session last Monday night in order to transact city business. Mayor Burton H. Adams was not present since he was on vacation in California. Marvin Pierson met with .the council relative to the granting of a quit claim deed for city property prop-erty now used by his mother, Mrs. Ida Pierson, at the corner of Second South and Locust Ave. Mr. Pierson's requ ist was referred re-ferred to the City Steet department depart-ment for study and recommendation. recommend-ation. Members of the City Street Department De-partment were also authorized to render prompt assistance to chairman chair-man George Smith of the Chamber Cham-ber of Commeirce street sign committee. com-mittee. City officials are of the opinion that the project should be consu mated without further delay. Record r M. D. Radmall reported repor-ted that Lorin Gibbs, financial adviser of Salt Lake City, has advised that special improvement districts for sewer extensions h; incorporated Into projects of the largest possible size. This will reduce matririally the cost to property owner's with respect to engineering fees, advertising and printing, Mr. Gibbs said. |
