Show Jaycees Participate In County and Local Charity Drive The local Jaycee club, being a member of the Utah County Jaycee Jay-cee organization, is currently participating par-ticipating in a fund raising project pro-ject for the Utah County Child Guidance Clinic along with the other oth-er clubs in Utah County. As a county project, a "Hunting "Hunt-ing Car" is being raffled off and will be given away on Oct. 16. Although Al-though this is not a new car, it is not a cast-off worn out one either. It would serve as a good hunting car or a second car for the family. The Utah County Jaycees organization organ-ization held its monthly meeting in Pleasant Grove last Tuesday night at the City Hall. Meeting with the Jaycee members were Ray Schwarts, sports editor of the Pro-vo Pro-vo Daily Herald and wrestling Dromoter Dave Reynolds. Thev stated that a benefit wrestling card has been lined up for next Tuesday night, Sept. 25, at the Provo Riverside Skating Rink with all profits going to the Utah Child Guidance Clinic, also. On a local basis, the Jaycee Club is currently selling tickets on a new 30.06 Remington Automatic Automa-tic deer rifle. Each year the local club puts on the Christmas activities activ-ities in Pleasant Grove, which consists con-sists of street lighting, Santa Claus visits and candy and nuts for the children. Since there is somewhat of an expense involved in these activities, it has become necessary to have this fund-raising project for this purpose, and the profits from the sale of the rifle tickets will go to Christmas activities. The gun will be given away on Oct. 18 at the B.Y. High and Pleasant Grove football game. The Jaycees sincerely appreciate the supprt that has been shown already al-ready and invite everyone to get tickets on this gun. |
