Show 24 YEARS A In the Review From the Files of the Review Friday, September 16, 1932 Roy Fage of this city appeared on the Talent Show at the RKO Theatre, Salt Lake City, last Monday Mon-day night. Out of 400 contestants originally entered in the statewide state-wide elimination, Roy placed among the first ten with his vocal solo. His accompanist, was Miss Gennieve Fugal. 24 Years Ago Dr. C. O. Jensen was selected to represent Pleasant Grove as a speaker at a program at the Vineyard Vine-yard amusement hall next Thursday. Thurs-day. The affair is in celebration of the completion of the Pleasant Grove-Vineyard-Lakeview to Pro-vo Pro-vo paved highway just completed. 24 Years Ago At the city council meeting last Saturday night, a decision was reached to replace 3 blocks of one inch culinary water pipe with 4-inch. 4-inch. The new line will extend from the H. E. Johnson property to the home of Henson Nielson. Shoell left last week for Weston Creek, Idaho, where she will teach school this winter. 24 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hilton, who have been at the Grace, Idaho, Power plant for the past several years have moved to Pleasant Grove. Mr. Hilton will be in charge of the Battle Creek plant of the Utah Power and Light Co. 24 Years Ago Merlyn Wadley and Shelby West left Monday for the USAC at Logan where they will attend school. 24 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. David Gourley motored to Hinckley, Utah, last Thursday. With them was daughter daugh-ter Gertrude, who will teach at the Hinckley High School during the current school year. |
