Show Gems Plan Clinic Fund Solicarion At Meeting Sept. 13 The Pleasant Grove Jaycee Gems held a business meeting on Thursday Sept. 13 at the home of Mrs. Jessie Shoell. President Mae Lee presided over the meeting at which time several important matters were taken care of. A new vice president was appointed ap-pointed due to the moving out of town of Mrs. Don Stubbs. The newly appointed vice president is Mrs. Evelyn Wilkinson. The Gems have taken over the chairmanship of the town, canvassing can-vassing for the drive for the Child Guidance Clinic. Mrs. Jessie Shoell was appointed by the Gems as chairman. She explained to the girls about the Clinic, and the good it has done and will do in the future. Each girl was assigned to take over one ward: to be canvassed can-vassed and are the chairman of that ward. The remainder of the evening was spent with a special guest, Robert Ostergaard. He told and demonstrated the beautiful way flowers out of your garden can be made into table decorations and showed the Gems how to make a corssage at home. Refreshments were served by the hostess to the following: Robert Rob-ert Ostergaard, Mrs. Mae Lee, Mrs. Ethel Canoes, Mrs. Evelyn Wilkinson, Wilk-inson, Mrs. Marjean Marchbanks, Mrs. Yvonne Jones and Mrs. Jessie Shoell. |
