Show Lindon Council Holds Meeting To Discuss Items Three quarter-inch water meter connection rates were lowered from $90 to $77.50 and the decision to refund $12.50 to each customer who had paidl the $90 connection charge was made when this city's councilmen for their regular monthly meeting. All refunds will be applied on future water payments pay-ments of $90 customers, and the new price to future customers includes in-cludes the $2.50 minimum water charge for the first month's service. ser-vice. Prices for one-inch water meter connections were lowered from $125 to $112.50 and for the two-inch two-inch connections the price has been changed from $225 to $212.50. Although no formal action was taken on the matter, Mayor Harold Har-old Keetch recommended that no more licenses be issued for the installation and operation of marble machines in the city of Lindon. Regarding building inspection in Lindon, councilmen emphasized that all blue prints of proposed buildings must be submitted to the building inspector Clifford Johnson, John-son, for approval before a permit will be issued, and as the construction con-struction of the approved building progresses, all plumbing and electrical elec-trical wiring must be passed by inspectors before service can be made available. Other business at this meeting included lengthy discussions on road conditions and the well and water pump. Also, a new meeting time of 7 :30 p.m. was set for the next regular meeting of the council coun-cil scheduled for the second Thursday Thurs-day of October. |
