Show BUILD YOUR FUTURE 'U UTAH VALLEY There is no better way in which one may spend his life, than the building of the lives of others. For the past several weeks I have been working on the decoration dec-oration of the Timpanogos Latter-day Latter-day Saints Stake-Grove ward chapel. cha-pel. The beautiful new edifice will cost in the neighborhood of $200,-000; $200,-000; half of the cost being raised locally, the balance paid for out of general church funds. When completed, the new church will be one of many dedicated during dur-ing the past few years in Utah Valley. These chapels, with their attendant attend-ant class rooms and recreation halls, stand as monuments to the paith of their builders in the spiritual spir-itual and social welfare of the church membership. The dominant church in Utah is perhaps unique in the facilities provided for the social and recreational rec-reational development of the youth. Church authorities believe, and rightly so, that the greatest, safeguard against juvenile delinquency delin-quency is a youth program devoted to clean and challenging recreational recrea-tional activities. True religion concerns itself with the normal development of the entire individual the spiritual, spirit-ual, the social, and the physical. It is a comforting thought, in these days when billions are being expended almost daily for human destruction; that our churches are spending thousands for facilities that have as their prime motive the saving of humanity. Greater Utah Valley, Inc. is proud of all the churches in this area; but most of all, are we appreciative ap-preciative of the vision and understanding under-standing of those who plan and implement the many and varied religious re-ligious activities we all enjoy. |
