Show CENTRAL SCHOOL NEWS The Sixth grade of the Central school had a very busy week. They held a meeting and invited their parents. The parents were entertained with a choral reading, dancing, and singing, after which they were served light refreshments. refresh-ments. This took place on Wednesday, the 11th of Feb. Thursday morning morn-ing the students were invited to perform at the high school. They presented their entertainment for both the Junior and Senior high school. The following teachers directed direc-ted the students: Mrs. Ash and Mr. Walker taught the dances; Mr. Jensen conducted the music; Mrs. Richards and Mr. Adams directed the choral reading. It was a thrill for the boys and girls to be so warmly welcomed by the high school students and faculty. They appreciated the attention at-tention given and they will look forward to being a part of the Junior high next year. Karen Walker Our experiment with the four white rats is now in the final week. During this week they have been on display in the window at the Utah Power and Light office. Anyone desiring to see the rats should do so before 2:30 Friday, Feb. 20. The two rats on poor diets of coffee, cola, sweet rolls, jelly, etc, started at 75 grams and now weigh 135 grams. The two on good diets of cereal, milk, eggs, butter, bread, vegetables, etc., started at 72 grams and now weigh 235 grams. 5th Grade Reporter |
