Show Wrings Top TSgers Don Bill Smith's redhot Vikings threw the Alpine Division basketball basket-ball race into a turmoil Tuesday night with a 61-59 overtime victory vic-tory over Lincoln on the Tigers' floor. It was the first defeat suffered by Lincoln in league play and moved both Lehi and American Fork within striking distance of the Tigers in the Alpine division race. Although badly beaten by American Am-erican Fork last Friday to the tune of 39-57, Pleasant Grove proved they have real spirit and fight' Tuesday night. They jumped off to a 14-8 lead in the first quarter and were never headed until un-til the score was tied at the end of the regular playing period, 55 all. It was then they came through with six points to the home team's four to cinch the victory in the overtime period. . Harold Jacklin was the big gun in the Viking victory, with 24 points, followed by Swenson, who tanked 16, and played a terrific floor game. LaRell Goulding and Carl Rowley led the Lincoln attack at-tack with 13 points apiece. Jimmy Pyne scofed 11 and turned in a good floor game. With their confidence somewhat renewed, the Viking crew are looking look-ing forward to their game with Lehi on the home court tonight, (Friday).
