Show Alpine News Mrs. Leonard Bates, Reporter Stanley Carlisle, son of Mrs. Thos. F. Carlisle of this city passed away at the Salina hospital of pneumonia, Sunday at 11:10 p. m. He was taken sick at the CCC Camp located at Salina and was later taken to the hospital. He was born May 17, 1903, at Alpine Al-pine a son of Thomas F. and Annie Shepherd Carlisle. He received his education in the Alpine schools. He married Lucena Clayton of Axtell in Salt Lake City. They have made their home in Axtell the last four years. Besides his widow he is survived by three children, Earl, Ruth and Reva Carlisle, all cf Axtell; Ax-tell; his mother, Mrs. Annie Carlisle of Alpine, and eight brothers and sisters, - Howard and Paul Carlisle and Mrs. Zalie Hunter of Alpine, Earl Carlisle of American Fork; Mrs. Hazel Atwood, Charleston; Mrs. Annie An-nie Johnson and Miss Ivie Carlisle, Provo; Mrs. Leona Robertson of Arizona. Ari-zona. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p. m. in the Axtell ward L. D. S. chapel. Burial will be in the Centerfield cemetery. Mrs. Annie Carlisle of this city, accompanied accom-panied by Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Moyle, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hunter and Howard 'Carlisle visited Stanley Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Carlisle remained re-mained and was at the bedside at the time of his death. The Alpine M Men played the first game of the tie with A. F. -Second ward Tuesday night resulting in a score of 46-21 in favor of Alpine. Mrs. Benjamin Bates is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Florence B. Smith, at Salt Lake. Paul Carlisle and Don Healey who have been very ill with pneumonia are reported improving nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Naylor and baby of Midvale were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gamet Dunsdon. |
