Show j Miss Agnes Firmage has returned c from a two weeks visit in Long 3 Beach, California-, 1 y The B- B. Ladies were guests of Mrs- Dell Singleton at her home t Thursday afternoon, February 7th. . The time was pleasantly spent in ". social chat after which a dainty j lunch was served the sixteen guests- i Mrs. Ivan Poster and daughter and Mrs. Forbes Foster and baby ' daughter returned to their homes in Salt Lake Wednesday after spend- 1 ing several days here with Mrs- Em- ' ily C. Foster. Mrs- Leon Whipple and son of Ogden are spending the , week here with Mrs. Foster- Mr. and Mrs- Howe Chipman and ' daughter left Friday for their home in Los Angeles after spending spend-ing several days here with Mr. Chipman's parents, President and Mrs. S- L. Chipman, who celebrated their golden wedding Wednesday Mrs. Harvey Fletcher of New York, and Mrs. A- Ray Olpin of North Carolina are spending the remainder remain-der of the week with their parents here- A great deal of concern is felt over the condition of David Davis, owner of the Owl Inn, who for over a month has been confined to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake- Mr. Davis recently underwent a serious operation from which he apparently apparent-ly was making a splendid recovery. The first of the week Mrs. Davis was summoned to her husband's bedside bed-side as he had suffered a paralytic stroke affecting the left side- The word Wednesday night was that he was slightly improved. Mrs. Davis is in Salt Lake with her husband- The teachers of the First ward Primary Association gave a party last Friday night at the home of Mrs. Ray Shelley, complimenting their officers. A delicious hot supper sup-per was served at 7:30 at small tables to the twenty-four present after af-ter which "Stung" was played- Miss Virginia Mercer won the prize-The prize-The officers honored by the affair are Mesdames S. F. Grant, Frank Brown and Walter Durrant of Hie presidency; Mrs. June S- WrlgM. secretary, and Mrs- Frank Busn, stakeboard member. |
