Show Benjamin West Answers Last Call Eenjamin West, 68, a miner and farmer of this city, died Thursday morning, February 7th, at his home following an illness of six weeks. He was the son of David and Amelia Hooley West. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Berley Ellis West, and the following daughters and one son; Bertram West, Springville; Mrs. Belva Duke, Price, and Mrs. Florence Devey, Salt Lake City. Also five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, sis-ters, William and Nathaniel West Pleasant Grove; Amasa West, Salt Lake City; and a sister, Mrs. Matilda Matil-da Brown, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were held in the Timpancgos Stake tabernacle Sunday Sun-day at 12:30 o'clock with Bishop C. A. Gamett conducting. A vocal duet "Sometime Somewhere," was rendered render-ed by Mr. and Mrs. William Elsmore of American Fork. The invocation was given by Junius A. West followed follow-ed by a duet, "Day Follows Night" by May R. Walker and son Jesse Walker. The speakers were David Gourley, Donna Olpin, Arnold West of Salt Lake City; Stephen L. Chipman of American Fork, with closing remarks re-marks by Bishop Gamett. Other musical numbers rendered during the services were a song, "I'm a Pilgrom," by Elroy West, and a duet by Jennie Halliday and Roy Fage. The benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by A. P. Warnick. Interment Inter-ment was in Pleasant Grove cemetery ceme-tery where the grave was dedicated by Joseph Olpin. The large attendance almost filled fill-ed the tabernacle auditorium. Many floral offerings graced the casket and rostrum. |
