BATES -GRANT WEDDING Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple tem-ple the marriage of Miss Mary Bates of Alpine and James A. Grant of this city was solemnized. The bride is the charming and popular daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Lenard Bates of Alpine. Mr. Grant is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Grant of ' this city. Mrs. Grant graduated from the American Fork high school, and has been active in social and religious affairs in the Alpine ward. Mr. Grant is a graduate of the L. D. S. Business College and is now employed em-ployed as timekeeper of the construction con-struction work in American Fork Canyon. In their honor a wedding reception was given by the parents of the bride in Alpine gymnasium last night, invitations in-vitations for which were issued to seven hundred. Mr. and Mrs. Grant will reside in this city. They are receiving congratulations con-gratulations and best wishes of a host of friends.
