Show Services Conducted Conduct-ed For Jacob Christensen Funeral services for Jacob Christensen Chris-tensen were held in the Fourth ward chapel Sunday afternoon. The respect and esteem in which the family of Mr. Christensen is held in this community were shown by the good attendance of friends and the many floral offerings. Bishop John W. Pulley was in charge. The opening song, "Oh My Father" was sung by the following Leo Hanson, Lot Robinson, Mrs. Lyle Grant and Mrs. LaRue Morton, accompanied by Mrs. Leo Hanson. Opening prayer was offered by John Klienman. LaMar Clements sang a solo, "Face to Face." The speakers for the occasion were Hilmar Nelson of Pleasant Grove, Dr. Guy S. Richards and Lot Robinson. Rob-inson. All of the speakers commented com-mented on the honesty and integrity of Mr. Christensen. His loyalty to his family and love and care which he gave them was mentioned among other good qualities which he pas-sessed. pas-sessed. He was always a true latter-day Saint and performed his church duties cheerfully and willingly. will-ingly. Further musical numbers were furnished by Leo Hanson and La-Rue La-Rue Morton who sang, "Jesus Lover of My Soul", accompanied by Mrs. Leo Hanson. Lois Greenwood, who played an organ solo "Goin' Home", and the quartet who sang the closing clos-ing song "Rest, Rest for the Weary Soul". Pallbearers were six grandsons, Clifford, Jay, Howard, Harold and Wendell Christensen and LaMar Clements. He is survived by four children, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Robinson; three sons, Bert Christensen, James Christensen of Ogden, and A. L. Christensen of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Nelson, Sigurd, Utah; Mrs. Stena Conger of Delta; also 19 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. The benediction was offered by Daniel H. Jorgensen. Interment was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Francis Abel. n |
