Show Farm Home Problems Discussed The meeting of the local Home and Community department of the Farm Bureau last Friday was well attended. Mrs. L. I. Wardle of Lehi discussed a plan to cooperate with the local cold storage plants whereby where-by families could rent lockers, by the year, in which to store meats, fruits and vegetables. She reported the Utah County Farm Bureau health program was steadily moving fodward. Mrs. Mower, local chairwoman, announced the subject of the Wo-mens Wo-mens public speaking contest for this year, which is, "Rural Health in America." This contest is conducted con-ducted by the Associated Women of the American Farm Bureau Federation, Fed-eration, which is the national organization or-ganization of the Home and Community Com-munity groups. Utah will hold a state contest with the hope that every county and community will participate. The local chairman appointed the following ladies to act as chairwomen chair-women of projects, sponsored by the organization: Health Mrs. John Bunten; public speaking Mrs. Reed Robinson; legislation Mrs. C. J. LeFluer; Home Beautification Mrs. Ernest Lloyd and Mrs. Arthur Nilsson; Cooperating Education Mrs. Mary K. Mower; 4-H club leader Mrs. Alvin Monson; Parliamentarian Par-liamentarian Mrs. J. W. Phillips; Recreation Mrs. E. P. Evans and Mrs. Hilda King. o |
