Show Ward Reunion Successful The First ward reunion, held Wednesday in the tabernacle, proved successful in every respect. The reunion commenced Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at 3:30 when about 150 children of the ward, all under 12 years of age, were entertained by the Primary officers and teachers in the tabernacle. The afternoon was spent in dancing and refreshments were served. In the evening, from 7 until 8 o'clock, a buffett luncheon, under the direction of Mrs. Irene Wright, was served to the older members of the ward. At 8:15 the following program was given: Community song, "America," led by Mrs. Alvin Monson; prayer, Orvil Mercer; address of welcome, Bishop T. A. Greenwood; solo, Dar-rell Dar-rell Wanlass; stunt (A Little Back Yard Gossip) Mrs. E. J. Seastrand and Selma Seastrant; reading. Mary E. Abel; accordian number, Rulon Brimhall; stunt (Such is Life) under un-der the direction of Emma Steiner and Lucy Bush; accordian number, Rulon Brimhall, and stunt, Tab and Bun. Samuel Grant offered the closing prayer. The remainder of j the evening was spent in dancing. About 400 members and former members of the First ward enjoyed the reunion. Chairman Ray Shelley and Mrs. Frank Gaisford are to be complimented on the successful completion of the affair. n |
