Show C. C. &News During the past week activities at the camp have taken the interest of the entire company. The second pool table was added to the recreation recrea-tion hall and number one barracks has been converted Into a chapel and school house. This new arrangement ar-rangement makes it possible to keep the recreational hall for recreational purposes and with these new class rooms there will be less disturbance from outside noises and interruptions interrup-tions during class time. On February 19th First Lieutenant Joseph Hudes reported for duty as the new camp doctor. Dr. Hudes is a Second corpse officer, his home be iJig Brooklyn, New York. He reported re-ported for duty in the Ninth Corpse area on November 16th and assigned assign-ed to the camp at Vernal. On December De-cember 10th he Was transferred to Dalton Wells camp at Moab, Utah, and then to Pleasant Grove. Lieu-j Lieu-j tenant Hudes has expressed himself I as being really thrilled with the new assignment, and looks forward to I meeting - the people of Pleasant Grove and surrounding communities. communi-ties. A Hew Fii-st Aid class of twenty-five twenty-five members has been organized and the first class was conducted by Dr-. -Hudes on Wednesday evening. Because of the large number Interested Inter-ested in taking the work in first 'aid the first group will be limited to those who are required to take the course. Upon its completion a second sec-ond class will be given and all those interested will be given I he class. 'The citizens of Pleasant 'Grove who may be interested are invited to enroll en-roll and take advantage of this very worthwhile class. The Forestry foreman have de-; cided to spend two evenings a month' in studying Civil -Service requirements require-ments and making preparation fot taking the Civil Service examinations examina-tions if these jobs should retjufre such. |
