Show Park Problem Must Be Settled A problem relative to the new Robinson park has developed de-veloped this week and must be decided by the city officials one way or another. A movement to preserve the old Robinson house on the park has been started by a group of the Daughters of The Pioneers organization who contend that this pioneer home should be preserved as a relic of the pioneer days. They feel it could be utalized for keeping all pioneer and historic relics in. However, another large group of citizens feel that the new park would be spoiled if the house were preserved because be-cause of its location on the property and the impossibility of beautifying the grounds with such a building on the present site. They also point to the fact that the home is far from being the typical pioneer home to be preserved. It is hoped that the possible beauty of our new city park will not be marred in any way by any sentimental or historical ideas and that those in charge of the beautifying of this long j needed park site will hold to the idea of making the new Robinson Park a natural beauty spot in our city. |
