' pnor to lunch on Friday, Sept. 1, .we will be singing with Don jlathan. All seniors are invited to attend. The Senior Citizen Center will be closed on Labor Day, Sept. 4. On Tuesday, Sept. 5, the Quilt Guild will meet at 10 a.m. in the auditorium adjacent to the Senior Citizen room. Tie People's Party will hold its meetingin the auditorium on Sept. c Sept. 15: Turkey steak with gravy, baked potato with sour cream, relish rel-ish plate, California Mix, bar cookie, whole wheat roll. Sept. 18: Beef stroganoff with noodles, whole kernel corn, tossed salad, apple pie, white roll. Sept. 19: More Casserole, Italian mixed vegetables, cooked vegetable salad, mint brownie, white roll. Sept. 20: Baked pork chop with applesauce, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli, cole slaw, gingerbread ginger-bread with lemon sauce, and plain muffin. Sept. 21: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, vegetable stix, fresh fruit, oatmeal raisin cookie, whole wheat roll. Sept. 22: Baked cod with tartar sauce, steak fries, peas and carrots, car-rots, lettuce wedge, lemon meringue pie, white roll. Sept. 25: Hungarian goulash with noodles, buttered zucchini, jellied salad, carrot cake, white roll. Sept. 26: Baked chicken, rice pi-laf, pi-laf, California mixed vegetables, lettuce and tomato, bread pudding, whole wheat roll. Sept. 27: Lasagna, Italian green beans, tossed salad, sugar cookies, white roll. Sept. 28: BBQ hamburger on a bun, cauliflower, potato salad, cupcake. Sept. 29: Country fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, carrot and raisin salad, fresh fruit and white roll. 6 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend. On Sept. 8, the Division of Community Com-munity Health Services will present pres-ent a program on Preventitive Health Care at 11 a.m. at the center. cen-ter. The Pleasant Grove Community Fair will be held on Sept. 9 and all seniors are reminded of this special spe-cial activity. Of special note, also, is the monthly meeting of the Garden Club on Sept. 13. Everyone is invited to this meeting. On Sept. 15 Ray Remund from the Division of Wildlife Resources will talk about fall fishing and the Strawberry reservoir to the seniors at 11 a.m. The Cadmus Club will meet on Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. A musical program will be provided pro-vided at 11 a.m. on Sept. 27. Lunch menus for September have been announced. Ruth Hassenfritz, director of the Senior Citizens, said that the menus are subject to change without notice. Reservations for lunch must be received 24 hours in advance. Sept. 1: Baked chicken with cranberry cran-berry sauce, tater tots, sliced carrots, car-rots, lettuce and tomato, tapioca, white roll. Sept. 5: Batter dipped cod, creamed peas with new potatoes, tossed salad, cherry cream crunch, white roll. Sept. 6: Hoagie sandwich, potato chips, fruit salad, carrot cake. Sept. 7: Macaroni and beef, broccoli, broc-coli, minty pear salad, apple crisp, and whole wheat roll. Sept. 8: Baked pork steak with gravy, applesauce, mashed potatoes pota-toes with gravy,-whole kernel corn, cole slaw, fresh fruit, white roll. Sept. 11: Oven fried chicken, scalloped potatoes, peas, mandarin orange salad, angel food cake, bran muffin. Sept. 12: Meat loaf with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, sliced carrots, jellied salad, cherry cobbler, cob-bler, cheese biscuit. Sept. 13: Ham fried rice, egg roll, sweet and sour sauce, cottage cheese salad, bundt cake, whole wheat roll. Sept. 14: Roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, tossed salad, jelly roll, white roll. |
