Show PL Grove swimmers qualify for state Rick Mayo and Kim Lamoreaux, both juniors at Pleasant Grove High School, will compete in the state swim meet at BYU on Friday and Saturday . V", Lamoreaux and Mayo competed in the regional meet held at Provo High School last week and won their spot in the state competition. Kim has been swimming for two years at P.G. High. She took third place in the 200 yard freestyle to earn her slot in the state finals. She is currently ranked sixth in the state in her class. Rick is in his first year of competition com-petition as a diver. He scored over 270 points in high difficulty dives, including double back, double reverse and forward somersault with a full twist, to go on to the state finals. Two of his required dives had never been performed by him before. Swim coach Kevin Dickerson said he was well pleased with the performance per-formance of the team and added that this was the first time in several years that representatives from the PG swim team have made Kim Lamoreaux shows the swimming style that won her a spot in the state swim meet. it to the state finals. |
