Show Jacob Cardon obituaries ) Harold L. Bolyard Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery for Jacob Ernest Cardon, infant son of Wade and Marilyn Losee Cardon. He was stillborn Sept. 16 at Mountain View Hospital in Payson. Survived by his parents, Lehi; one brother and one sister, Bart and Alys; grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. (Jwen Losee, Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Cardon, Lehi; great grandparents, Mrs. Mary Porter, Provo; Mrs. Allie Cardon and Mrs. Grace Larsen, both of Lehi. Jennie Jensen and Family Harold Laymon Bolyard, 82, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1986 in American Fork. He was born Feb. 20, 1904 in Cle Elum, Wash., the son of Howard Laymon and Lela Crooks Bolyard. He married Kathryn Jeanette Foster June 5, 1931 in Port Angeles, Wash. Harold was employed as a baker in Yakima, Wash., until 19G3. During this time he served as secretarytreasurer of the baker's union. He then moved to t ',' 'i f t I 6 wMy M,ws&. '. . . .Ji Ms Lewiston, Ida., and continued his career until retirement. He moved to Lehi in 1984. He was a graduate of Washington State Teachers College and a member of the National Guard. He was also an avid gardener. Survivors include his wife of Lehi; two daughters and one son: Mrs. Jerry (Sandra) Lisantti, Klamath, Falls, Ore.; Mrs. Lloyd (Linda) Brooks, Lehi; Robert Michael Bolyard, Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren grand-children and four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery. Susan A. Taylor Susan Armitstead Taylor, 75, of Provo, died Monday, Sept. 8, 1986 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo of a lingering illness. She was born Sept. 2, 1911 in Pleasant Grove to James Herbert and Jane Nevada Lund Armitstead. She married John Leland Taylor, Sr., March 13, 1935 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 2, 1979. She received her education in Pleasant Grove. She has lived in Pleasant Grove, Salt Lake City, Park City and Provo. She was a member of the LDS Church and held the office of Relief Society president and taught Primary and Sunday School. She was a member of the Women's Council and was past president of the PTA, Lady Lions Club, Club 13, Clivell. Survivors include one son and three daughters: Mrs. Mark L. (Sharlene) Sumsion, Springville; Mrs. Darryl (Joan) Stevens, Killen, Texas; John L. Taylor, Jr. and Mrs. Daryl (Arlene) Dauwalder, both of Provo; 16 grandchildren; grand-children; three brothers and two sisters: Harold Armitstead, Lloyd Armitstead and Mrs. B. (Ruth) Cobbley, all Pleasant Grove; Mrs. V. Keith (Louise) Adamson, American Fork; Arthur Armitstead, Ar-mitstead, Bakersfield, Calif. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorna Davis, and two brothers, Keith and Richard Armitstead. Ar-mitstead. Services were held Friday, Sept. 12, at the Provo 4th Ward LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Elwood Freeman Elwood Freeman, 67, Pleasant Grove, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1986 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born Feb. 6, 1919 in American Fork to Wilford and Beatrice Green Freeman. He married Mildred Brems Feb. 12, 1946 in Pleasant Grove. He worked as a barber in Pleasant Grove and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Volunteer . Firemen. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was also an avid golfer and was a member of the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife, Pleasant Grove; two sons, Ted Freeman, Sandy ; and Dan Freeman, Pleasant Grove: one grandson; a brother, Larry Freeman, Helper. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 15, at the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with military, rites performed per-formed by District 4 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral services were under the direction of Bishop Frank Mills of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Kent Chipman, Mike Vicchrilli, Gleed Olsen, Jackie Brems, Ray Frederick, and Gary Blanchard. ; Honorary pallbearers, were Jack Brems and Carl Albanese. The prelude and postlude were played by Karen Church. Glen Smith gave the invocation. in-vocation. Karen Church played an organ solo, "Somewhere My Love." The speaker was Bishop Mills. The benediction was by Ted Jones and Paul Smith dedicated the grave. Military honors were by District Four of the VFW. Robert M. Brown Robert Milton Brown, 92, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1986 in American Fork. He was born April 21, 1894 in American Fork to Joseph Webb and Lillian King Brown. He was a musician and a retired farmer. He never married. He is survived by two sisters and three brothers: Frank Brown and Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Faddis, both of American Fork; Webb and John M. Brown, both of Highland, Calif.; Mrs. John (Prudence) Smith, Salt Lake City. Services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, in the American Fork Stake Center. Burial was in the American Fork Cemetery. Alice K. Fenton Alice Kessner Fenton, 89, Pleasant Grove, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1986 at Provo. She was born June 30, 1897, at Belt, Mont., to Edward and Jeannie young Kessner. She married Richard Fenton Nov. 19, 1920 at Trinadad, Colo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Sept. 18, 1973. She was a member of the LDS Church, living in the Pleasant Grove 9th Ward. She had served in church auxilliary organizations and as a Relief Society teacher. Survivors include a son and a daughter- Robert Fenton, Pleasant Grove; and Mary Jean Logsdon, Ogden; four grandchildren; grand-children; a brother and two sisters: Edward Kessner, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Mary Collard, Provo; and Christine Rosse, Midvale. Services were under the direction of Bishop Glade Walker of the Pleasant Grove Ninth Ward. Pallbearers were Richard Fenton, Rolfe Morehead, Cory Con-der, Con-der, Cecil Logsdon, Wes Hardy and Gail Albiston. The family prayer was given by Don Fenton. Linda Jensen played the prelude and postlude. The invocation was by Eldon Johnsoh and Maymetta Johnson gave the life sketch. Mae Bezzant played "The Lord is My Shepherd" as a violin solo. She was accompanied ac-companied by Lora Johnson. The speaker was Robert Morehead. Mae Bezzant, Nicole Griffiths, Grif-fiths, and Lora Johnson sang "Abide With Me," accompanied by Kristine Howe. Bishop "Walker gave remarks and the benediction was by Jack Taylor. The grave was dedicated by Gordon Collard.- |
