Show Cedar Hills creates SID By BECKI JOHNSON After much deliberation and citizen input, the Town Council of Cedar Hills moved to propose the creation of a special improvement district in a meeting held Sept. 10. The special improvement district will be established to complete the paving of Oak Road. The town has agreed to pay for approiximately $6,800 of the project and citizens of Oak Road will be assessed annually on the remaining cost. The town council authorized Rodney Despain, town planner, to publicize notification of bids. The council anticipates an-ticipates the cost of the project to be around $27,000. A public hearing concerning the special improvement district will be held Wed. Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the faculty lunchroom of Pleasant Grove Jr. High. Any citizens opposing op-posing the project must present their protest in writing during or before the public hearing. The town council voted to paint double yellow 1 ines in hazardous areas of road, paint bars at stop signs and post purchased road si;:ns immediateely . The council discussed the posting of signs which prohibit shooting. The town council also voted to accept the recommendation recom-mendation of the Planning Commission Com-mission and not reduce tfie amount of footage required for homes to b e set back from the road. The 72 hour parking ordinance was discussed and the council one again stated that violators will be towed away. |
