It is a time to recognize the contributions hunters and fishermen1 fisher-men1 have made to conservation efforts throughout the country. Sportsmen have paid much of the bill for major conservation projects and day-to-day management through licenses, stamps and taxes on sporting equipment. Perhaps most of all, Hunting and Fishing Day is a time to have fun and share the outdoor tradition with a youngster or someone else who's never experienced the outdoors. |
