She was preceded in death by three children, Earl Devon; Janet La Rae; and Jay Arthur. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Kayesville, Utah. ' Interment In-terment was in. the Riverton City Cemetery. Velma Russon Olson, 75, died Oct. 23, 1985 in Kaysville.Utah.' She was born June 6, 1909 to George and Inza Russon in Lehi. She lived in Lehi and attended at-tended Lehi public school. She married Arthur A. Olson, Oct. 17 1927 in Salt Lake City. ' They made their home in Riverton for many years, then to Syracuse, Utah, and then to Kaysville. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker. She worked a few years at Remington Arms in Salt Lake City. She held several positions in the LDS Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years; three chidren, Mrs. Lee (Arva) Schofield, Ogden; Mrs. Glen (Susan) Gregory, Willets, Calif.; and Craig Jon Olson, i' f. V. Allen, Sacramento, Calif. ; Margaret Hutchings, Provo; Nellie Leighton, Oakland, Calif.; Mary Beown, Hayward, Calif.; and Grace Backman, Provo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lindon First Ward, 25 North Main, Lindon. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Carlson, 66, J American Fork, died u Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1985. j He was born Aug. 9, 1819 in Pleasant Grove, fee son of Clairence and ftuby A. ' Cunningham Carlson. He married Connie Read Feb. 5, 1949 in Salt Lake City. He graduated from American Fork High School where he was active in sports. iHe served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World j War II, stationed in J Alaska and Italy. He worked at Geneva Steel for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He coached little kague baseball for several years. He was a member f the LDS Church. Survivors include his We of American Fork; the direction of Bishop John Day of the American Fork Fourth Ward. Casket bearers were Steven -Deanr. Bernl Dean, ' Don Neil,' Craig Dean, Larry Neil and Calvin Kessler. The family prayer was by Russell Carlson. The . prelude and postlude were by Fern Fox. The invocation was by Larry Neil. Owen Dean gave the life sketch. Two musical selections were given by "Something Special," accompanied by Bessie Shawcroft. Speakers were Bishop John Day and Bishop Rodney Turner. The benediction was by Bishop Donald Fox. The dedication of the grave was by William "Bill" Graff. two sons and one daughter: W. Jay Carlson and JoAnn Carlson, both of American Fork; and William Russell Carlson, Delta. Services were held Friday, Oct. 25, in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, American Fork.
