I year-old Pleasant Grove man. According to Lt. Tom Paul the man was being held in a holding cell at the Pleasant Grove Police Dept. Sunday afternoon on a misdemeaanor charge. He had been allowed out of the cell to talk to his mother about bail when he thrust a police dispatcher out of the way, jumped over the counter and fled the building. The dispatcher, dispat-cher, mother and sister of the escapee tried to catch him, but failed. The man turned himself into police officers on Tuesday morning. Officer Jeff Wilson investigated a two-ea aceident-Oct. 22 in front bf Pleasant Grove Junior High School. Vehicles driven by Carol Jewkes, Pleasant. Grove, and LaRae E. Deaton, Orem, collided. A six-year- Pleasant Grove police have arrested a Springville man in connection with a burglary at the home of Edward Uhrig, 966 S. Locust, Pleasant Grove. Det. Bert Bean said the man has been charged with three counts of theft of fire arms, second degree felonies. He is accused of taking rifles and ammuntion valued at over $1,100. The items have been recovered, according to Det. Bean.
