Steven Gregan as Pippin tries the fortunes of war, love and politics before he finds what the audience discovers for him. Happiness is right before him in the form of a child and his mother. i Yet Pippin as. a play doesn't preach. The audience is led ' magically and musically through the serious and the sardonic before i the message settles in all by itself. Impossible dreams are part of the magic. So are the places where characters in 'Pippin' pop up. The dancing is part of the magic. And the magic is, well just plain magic. How did they do that? Russell Williams is a "ducky" small lad with a flair for acting. Charlemagne, played by Spencer Ashby, is a Dom Delouise from another century. i A capacity opening night crowd welcomed the play, excellently ' done. All who can should see this. |
