Show Open house slated for Golden Wedding Anniversary of Eldon and Eulala Pack An open house will be held in honor of the Golden Wedding Anniversary An-niversary of Eldon and Eulala Pack of Pleasant Grove on Saturday, I June 23, in the Manila Stake Center, 1800 N. 100 W., Pleasant Grove, from 6 till 8 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to attend. The couple were married on June 20, 1934 in Lehi. Eulala was born on Aug. 31, 1914, a daughter of Hyrum and Amy ! Devey Smith. She graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. She is a homemaker. Her hobbies include quilting, sewing, genealogy, hunting, fishing and traveling. She likes to help family members. She is a past president of the Manila Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and j has worked in the Stake Primary j and in the Sunday School. Eldon was born Jan. 24, 1913 at Deseret, Utah, the son of Clarence W. and Estell M. Pack. He attended the old Manila grade school and Pleasant Grove High School. He is a farmer at heart, but has worked at Mercur, Utah, mining, United Smelting and Refining and retired after 21 years at BYU as a Eulala and Eldon Pack groundsman over athletics. He enjoys farming, hunting, fishing, traveling and temple work. He has worked in the stake Sunday School, Elder's Quorum, been the High Priest group leader and served in the bishopric. Mr. and Mrs. Pack are the parents of eight children: Ervin, Glen, Mrs. Marcel (Edna) DeRoest of Pleasant Grove; Russell and Mrs. Ponie (Ann) Reese of Cen-. terville; Merlyn, Lehi; Mrs. Joseph (Nola) Call and Idaho Falls, Id.; and Mrs. Doyle (Linda) Judd of Arizona. They have 38 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. |
