WOOD VINCK ALBRECHT Missionary Farewells, Homecomings planned Michael Bronson A missionary farewell will be held Sunday, May 15, at 4 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove East Stake Center, 825 South Loader Drive, for Elder Michael Lynn Bronson. Elder Bronson is the son of Van Lynn and Laurel Ann Bronson. He has been called to the Tegucigalpa, Honduras LDS Mission. He is the grandson of Victor and Norma Bronson, Apache Junction, Ariz, and Austin and Margaret McEwan of Lindon. Michael is a 1982 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School where he was active in sports and was on the honor roll. He earned an award from the United States Achievement Academy and a full academic scholarship to BYU. He was active in church work and served as seminary president during his senior year. He has attended at-tended BYU for three semesters. All of his friends and relatives are invited to his farewell. Vince Albrecht Elder Vince Albrecht, son of Karen Albrecht and the late Virgil D. Albrecht, will report on his ! recently completed mission on Sunday, May 15, at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove 10th Ward Chapel, 475 N. 700 East. All of his friends and relatives are invited to attend. Elder Albrecht will return home May 14 after serving in the New York City LDS Mission. Mark S. Wood A missionary farewell will be held for Elder Mark S. Wood Sunday, May 15, in the Lindon Third Ward, 731 E. Center, at 12:30 p.m. Elder Wood is the son of Doyle and Connie Wood. He has been called to serve in the Chile Con-cepcion Con-cepcion LDS Mission. He will enter the MTC on May 26. Mark is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. He is an Eagle Scout. He has served as first and second counselor in the Deacon's Quorum and as president of the Teacher's Quorum. All of his friends and relatives are invited to his farewell. Mae Jacklin Thornton Mae Jacklin Thornton has been called to serve in the Arizona Hollbrook Mission. She will speak in sacrament services Sunday May 15 at 11:50 a.m. in the American Fork 12th Ward, 673 E. 300 N. All friends and relatives are invited to come. An open house will be held the same afternoon at her home, 433 N. 600 E., American Fork. Sister Thornton will enter the Missionary Training Center May 18. Dan, Maxine Peterson Recently Dr. Dan W. and Maxine W. Peterson received the following call from President Spencer W. Kimball "...to special service in Kenya as a representative of the International Mission." They will depart for Kenya about May 20. For the last three years Dr. Peterson has been the executive director for the Society of Utah School Superintendents. Prior to that he was Superintendent of the Alpine School District for 21 years. The Petersons will speak in a sacrament meeting on Sunday, May 15, at noon in the American Fork Eighth Ward Chapel at the corner of 100 East and 300 North. ' --,c 1 MAXINE AND DAN PETERSON |
