Governor's open house Governor Scott M. Matheson and his wife, Norma, are hosting an open house for the public on Sunday, Dec. 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Capitol Rotunda. Nordic ski trek The Norwegian School of Nature Life invites anyone to join in a gentle nordic ski trek in o the Uinta Mountains on Saturday, Jan. 5. Park City Community Clinic The Park City Community Clinic is a non-profit family planning and reproductive health program. Appointments are available for morning, afternoon and evening clinics. Examinations are performed by a nurse practitioner. Services include physical exams, Pap tests, counseling and education, VD screening, pregnancy testing and contraceptive supplies. Soft aerobics will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8: 15 a.m. Interval training will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. (Interval training is a system of training devised by track, field, swimming and professional coaches to develop both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems.) 1227 Avalanche field day To teach people how to avoid avalanches and what to do in an emergency, the Recreation Department and White Pine Touring Center will be offering a field day at ParkWest Resort on Saturday, Jan. 5. The course is taught by veteran rock climber and skier Harold Goodro who will provide students with a basic working knowledge of group safety, route finding and minimizing risks.
