Show County commission to change meeting schedule? The new Summit County Commission Commis-sion will consider holding its meetings on Wednesday afternoon, according to County Commissioner Cliff Blonquist. The topic will be discussed Monday, Jan. 7, when the new commission is sworn in. Blonquist, the only incumbent on the panel, will be joined by new four-year commissioner commis-sioner Tom Flinders and new two-year Commissioner Stan Leavitt. (By law, the new commission is sworn in on the first January Monday of its term.) The commission has long met on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Blonquist said that ".schedule wasted time and he-wants to discuss a single afternoon session. Blonquist said the change to Wednesday is needed because he has a schedule conflict on Tuesday with his work for Utah Power .& Light. |
