Show Sundonce-for a chonqe . triple lift. Night skiing begins immediately im-mediately after the regular hours. Lights are placed along numerous trails of the Navajo and Mandan lifts. They illuminate the slopes, casting shadows and erie light patterns over the ridges. If you have never been night skiing, you might consider giving it a try. The night skiers can leave work, and ski three hours into the evening. "It's so pretty," remarked Pat Blackinton, of Public Relations, "And, last year we opened some expert runs." With expert runs lit, the night skiing offers a chal-lengs chal-lengs to every degree of skier. There are dining facilities available, and the snack bars provide drinks and snacks. The Tree Room, specializes special-izes in formal dining, with expertise in steak and seafood. They are open daily from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. Though there are lodging accomodations available at the resort, Heber City and Provo are both only 20 minutes away from the Airport is only an hours drive. Whether you spend a day, the afternoon, or the evening, even-ing, Sundance provides a definite change of pace for the skier. What are they you ask? Short liftlines and night skiing. Everyone automatically associates the resort with the famous actor Robert Red-ford. Red-ford. It was designed with the idea that the resort and the environment could coexist, co-exist, with neither from the other. And, if you take the time to watch the scenery, you'll see too, that the task was accomplished. In perfect harmony, the three lifts rise to the top of the ski mountains. They combine for a total verticle of 3950. One third of the runs are considered expert runs, while the lower half is for intermediate and beginners. The three lifts at the resort are Navajo, Mandan, and a triple chairlift, Flathead. When looking up the hill from the bottom the Flathead lift is hidden. All lift lines tend to be small, and the most you could wait is ten minutes, on a busy weekend, or holiday. The Mandan and Navajo have mid-point loading stations, sta-tions, so that expert skiers who wish to stay on the top, can do so. The Navajo lift is excellent for the beginner, it "gives the challenge that is needed to improve skills, but not more difficult enough to share the novice skier.
