Show Grand Masters at Bird Some of the Intermountain Region's most honored racing veterans and a host of regulars from the just completed USSAIntermountain inaugural Master's tour will converge on this Little Cottonwood Canyon resort March 19-20 for the First Annual Snowbird Grand Master's. This post-series classic, organized by the season's Master's champion Bill Hicks, the Snowbird race director, will feature a slalom on Saturday, March 19 and a giant slalom the following day. All Master's racers are invited to attend. Entry fees will be $8 a day for the race and $7 for an all area chair pass. The races will coincide with the meeting of the Rocky Mountain Ski Writers Association, so racers will have plenty of chances to show off. The race will also serve as the final tune up in the Intermountain Region before the Subaru Alpine Master's Championships scheduled for March 28-April 2 at Brundage Mountain in McCall, Idaho. - Send entries to: Snowbird Race Department, Snowbird, Utah 84092. |
