Show Family Life Conference The 21st annual Family Life Conference will be held March 23, 1983 at Brigham Young University in Provo. This years conference titled titl-ed "Sharing and Caring," is being sponsored by various community organizations in Utah County, to provide the communityh with' useful skills to aid in the development develop-ment of a happy, well-adjusted well-adjusted and productive family fam-ily life, according to Kather-ine Kather-ine T. Brimhall, chairman of the conference. Brimhall said, "Our society soc-iety is in a transitional state, which is affecting the role of 'families.'" She said the objective of the conference is to help each family member become a valuable assest in society, as well as in their own homes. High school students in the, area are participating on registration, publicity, programs pro-grams and entertainment, and will host and hostesses at the event. The conference will last from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will include keynote speakers Steve Young and Gordon Hudson, football standouts at BYU. They will speak on "Committment to Self and Others," and "Learning to Care About Self." Workshops include Don Black, a conselor and noted youth speaker, "Sharing and Caring Family Relationships;" Gay Bee-. Bee-. seon, singer and etnertainer, composer of "Star Child," "The Family Plan," and other productions, "How to be a Genuine Klutz;" Dr. Paul Merrill, professor of instructional science at BYU. "Computer in Education;" Dr. Richard Carcroft, dean of the college of Humanities, "Literature and Humor;" Deanna Edwards, the first music therapist in the country, "Sharing the Gift of Love;" and Jill Paxman, registered dietician, "Caring About Self." Wrap-up speaker Jeri Winger, a member of President Presi-dent Reagan's task Force on the Volunteer Sector and president-elect of the international intern-ational General Federation of Women's clubs, will speak on "Sharing and Caring Through Volunteerism." Entertainment will be provided pro-vided by the "Afterglows" featuring Joel McCoasland and Kevin Peay. Lunch will be served.
