Show Miners Enter Playoffs The Park City High School basketball team, led down the stretch by 5 foot, 5 inch junior guard Steve Winchester, Winches-ter, beat Tintic High School 62-59 last week to gain the final berth in the Region 11 playoffs this week at South Summit High in Kamas. Winchester's 18 points was tops for the Miners, who had to contend with 6 foot 7 inch forward John Yadon's 35 points for Tintic. The ball game, close to the final minute, was won by Winchester, Miner Coach Bruce Reid said. "He made the clutch shots and free throws at the end of the game and that made the difference," Reid said. Chris Cooper added 17 points for the Miners, 16 of them in the first half. After that, Tintic put up a box and one zone with a man guarding Cooper all the time. The defense affected the senior guard's shooting greatly, Reid said.
