Come for as long as you can and meet some great people. tfn Extras wanted Procter & Gamble will be filming a commercial at the Park City Ski Area Nov. 13 and 14 in conjunction with a coupon campaign which will benefit the 1985 International Winter Special Olympics Games, to be held in Park City March 24-29, 1985. Aspiring actors and actresses can sign up to be extras in the commercial by calling 1-800-662-1616, the number for Utah Special Olympics, which is coordinating the event. Filming will take place for two full days. Boy Scout auction An auction to benefit the Boy Scouts will be held on Nov. 9 at the Park City LDS chapel at 2300 Monitor Dr. in Park Meadows. Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. followed by the auction at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12. Men's basketball Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13, open basketball will be held at the Treasure Mountain Middle School from 6:30-9:30 6:30-9:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Thanksgiving trek on skis The Norwegian School of Nature Life invites everyone to join a gentle, cross-country ski tour in .the Uinta Mountains at the School's base cabin from Friday, Nov.23 at 1 :00 p.m. to Sunday, Nov. 25, leaving from the Memorial Building. The cost will be $70 per person for food, gas, skis, cabin and mentor. For reservations call 649-9461 or 649-2048. 1115 Adopt-a-Horse program Wild horse and burro adopters no longer will be charged transportaion costs for animals shipped from one adoption center to another in the Bureau of Land Management's Adopt-a-Horse program, which finds foster homes for wild horse and burros removed from public lands in the West. The cost of adopting a horse or burrow now will be the same everywhere in the nation: $125 per horse, $75 per burro. (Previously, costs ranged up to $215 and $140.) Model railroad show The Wasatch Division of the National Model Railroad Association will sponsor the 3rd Annual Model Railroad Show Nov. 9 and 10 at the Northwest Multipurpose Center, 300 North, 1300 West in Salt Lake. Show times are Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $1, $2 maximum per family. 118 Park City Ski Swap The 13th Annual Park City Ski Swap will be held Nov. 9, 10 and 11 at the Treasure Mountain Middle School. Appointments are available for morning, afternoon and " evening clinics. Examinations are performed by a nurse practitioner.
