Show . i . Video Contest Winners The United States Film Festival has announced its winners of the annual video competition. The winning video films will be shown at the festival in January in Park City. The winners in the documentary docu-mentary class are: First -"How Much Is Enough -Decision-making in the Nuclear Nu-clear Age" by Andrew Stern; Second - "Art and the Prison Crisis" by Eric Thiermann; and Third - "In Our Own Backyard; The First Love Canal" by Lynn Corcoran. The winners in the art group are: Grand Prize for outstanding achievement in video art - "Hatsu-Yume" (First Dream) by Bill Viola; First - "Metamayan II" by Edin Velez; Second - "The Man on the Empire State", by Teodoro Maus; and Third - "Spiral PTL" by Tom DeFanti, Dan Sandin and Mimi Shevitz. Other films, which the video committee is still screening, will also be shown at the festival. |
