Show Civil Rights Suit Dismissed A civil rights complaint lodged against Summit County by a Utah State Prison inmate was dismissed Monday by U.S. District Judge Aldon J. Anderson. Salt Lake resident Kevin Love charged his civil rights were violated while he was interred at the Summit County Jail last year because the county had an inadequ ate law library at the disposal of a succession of three defense attorneys. Love pleaded guilty last year to complicity in a series of burglaries and thefts at residences in Summit park and Pine Brook. According to Summit County Attorney Bob Adkins, Love was a member of a group of individuals responsible for the crimes." After his plea, Love was sentences to a prison term of one to 15 years at the state prison, according to Adkins. Adkins added the adequacy of the Summit County law library was determined by Anderson to have had little relevance to the quality of Love's defense. |
