Show 7-Eleven Suspect Apprehended Jim Beaver said he saw a "young Hispanic" take a $10 bill from the counter at 7-11 last week. A description of the get-away car was given the police and soon afterwards Sargeant Offret stopped the suspect vehicle. The culprit denied his guilt but was convinced by Offret to give him the $10 to return to 7-11 on the condition it would be given back to the suspect if the till at the Park Avenue convenience store did not turn out $10 short. Urban Fishing Draws Complaint Thaynes Canyon resident Al ice Williams told officers June 6 she had seen two youths fishing in the city sewer. Patrolman Leo Witt discovered the youths with lines dropped through a manhole near Walker Ct. After determining the pair was really causing no harm, Witt left the scene. Loaded Champagne Bottle Missing Ashley Imboden of No 2 Keystone Ct. reported the theft June 3 of a magnum size champagne bottle. The bottle was filled with an estimated $250 worth of change. Color TV Theft Reported Harriet Stephens, a resident of Snow Country condos. reported the theft of a $300 color TV from her unit last week. Investigating officers believe the thieves entered the condc through a window. Tools Gone at Fire House Tools and other assorted items valued at $182 were taken June 1 from the main Park City fire station on Park Avenue. The missing goods were the property of Dennis Karnas who was doing some work for the Fire District inside the building. Yard Items Missing Deer Valley resident Bill Prince told officers June 1 his lawnmower and three pine trees had been taken from his front yard. The lawnmower was valued at $229 and the trees, $20 each making the total value of the theft $289. Tuft Tins Flattened Susan Tuft, a teacher at Park City High School, advised authorities June 3 that two tires on her BMW had been flattened while the vehicle was parked in the High School lot. |
