Show Joys of Trout Fishing On Saturday, May 19th, 1979, the Utah member clubs of the Federation of Fly Fisherman and the Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Department will co-sponsor a day-long event aimed at educating the public to the joys of trout fishing, especially espec-ially through the use of the artificial fly. The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Redwood Multi-Pupose Center located at 3060 Lester (3060 South 1585 West) in Salt Lake City. Activities and programs will include tackle and equipment displays, fisheries fishe-ries and conservation workshops, work-shops, fly tying exhibits and instruction, a where-and-to-fish information center, casting demonstrations and instruction, and much more. Division of Wildlife Resources, Resour-ces, Don Duff of the Bureau of Land Management, and Bill Miller of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will contribute to making the event the most indepth look into the world of sport and fly fishing to date. As an added bonus, Gary Cox, local . bass expert, will give a special presentation dealing with more effective fishing of Utah's fine bass waters. Special attention is being " paid to the planning of activities and events aimed at involving the entire family in the wonderful world of fishing. Door prizes will be given throughout the day. Admission charge will be . $1.00 for adults and children under 10 will be admitted ' free. - - -K In addition, lectures and slide show presentations will be offered by several leading Western guides and outfitters. outfit-ters.
