Show School Board Sets Budget Meeting The Park City School Board, in a comparatively short meeting last Thursday night, adopted a resolution to sell $1,370,000 worth of bonds June 19. and also decided to hold a budget meeting that night. The school board will adopt an official notice at the June 19 meeting to accept bids for construction of Park City's new elementary school to be built in the Silver Springs development at Park WestT The next regularly scheduled sche-duled school board meeting was changed from June 12 to the 19th. Local voters recently overwhelmingly over-whelmingly passed a Bond Authorization Election calling call-ing for the sale of $6 million worth of bonds in order to aid in paying for future building needs in the district; The budget hearing is scheduled to be held at either 6:30 or 7:00pm June 19 shonlv before the bond bids. Teacher contracts were granted to the following: Sharon Richards, 5th ami 6th grades: Susan Kricksen, -4 1 Ji grade: Guen Medium. 5ih grade (one year only, replacing replac-ing Margarie Haddcn v ho was given a one-year leave of absence): Siimiii Jo lull. Foreign Language (qualified-to (qualified-to teach Spanish. French. . German and Norwegian). Park City High School's secreteary, Joel Burns, who is resigning, will be replaced by Lu Ann Adair in the lall. A joint Park City South Summit School Board Meeting Meet-ing was scheduled to be held last Thursday night, but it was postponed until June 6th: it will be in- Kamas beginning at 7:30pm. The purpose of the joint meeting is to review final details regarding the recent school district boundary line change. |
