Show Activities Planned To Celebrate "Sun Day" June 23 As energy costs rise higher and higher more people are turning to the sun for their energy needs. On Saturday, June 23, people from around the world will be celebrating "SUN DAY". A day set aside to learn more about solar energy and its many uses. Here in Salt Lake City activities will be taking place all through the week of June 18 to June 24. These activities will include solar energy films, speakers, and even a puppet show for the kids. Then on Sun Day everything every-thing under the sun will be going on at Liberty Park, (boundaries located at 900 South to 1300 South and 500 East to 700 East in Salt Lake City) The Governor will open the day, State Senator Glade Sowards will speak about solar" legislation in the state. There will be information booths, displays of all kinds, solar food dehydrators, solar cookers and ovens, information informa-tion about solar greenhouses and much more. In addition to the events on June 23, a festival will be held on June 24 at Park City. This will be a day to get out and enjoy the sun, listen to some good music, and see some interesting things people peo-ple have made to put solar energy to use in their own homes. It is going to be an interesting, informative and fun week. So don't miss it. Plan on being at Liberty Park (Utah Technical College if it rains) on Saturday, June 23 and at Park City on June 24.
