Show CREDIT n ARE TO TAKE ACTION To strengthen credit linen in Utah, vhich it is declared have drifted from worse to worse, and to put all wholesale business houses In the slate on u definite and uniform credit ba-s-Is, is the purpos2 of a committee, appointed ap-pointed by the Utah Association of Credit Men. The committee consists of .1. P. Hansen, Hewlett Brothers; H. I Gi If On of Ogden, C. N. Sorenson of V. S. Henderson, wholesale groceries; grocer-ies; J S. Barrett of the Utah Implement Imple-ment & Vehicle company, an .i D Beardshall of the Salt Lake Glass & Paint company. The committee will go to all wholesale whole-sale and retail dealers in the state and secure from them an opinion of what they consider a proper credit system. This committee will then report to the Utah Association of Credit Men. and nn attempt will be n ndi? to frame up some uniform and d finite system upon which credit can be maintained in the state. Produce Men Force Move. The cause of the step taken by Ihe Credit Men's association was due directly di-rectly to the attempt which has been made by the produce dealers in Utah to compel retailers to pay tip all bills weekly. This. It is said by the members mem-bers of the association, Is a slap at the wholesale groeerj men, as they do not demand weekly payments for their goods and would be left in the l"rch If auy of the retail men should go to the "wall." or if they should !.( unable to pay their bills monthly.
