Show BROTHER BOUND OVER. Further testimony in the preliminary prelim-inary hearing of Earl H. Mitchell, charged with grand larceny, was taken in the municipal court this n-ornlng relative to the value of tho property alleged to have been stolen, and as to whether It was taken from one or more trunks. Mr. and Mrs. David Crockett staled that the goods In court which they had previously Identified as theirs, rnd which were found in the possession posses-sion of the defendant In Seattle, wero stored In one trunk, and that the box tpoken of In connection with tho trunk contained nothing but books j.nd pictures. The attorney for the defense contended con-tended that the value of the property stolon had not been proved to bo worth $50, consequently the younjj man should not be held to answer the charge of grand larceny befor toe district court. The court, however, how-ever, took a different view nnd ordered or-dered that Mitchell be held to await the action of the district court. His Lond was fixed at $5u0. |
