Show EFFORTS FOR BETTER FREIGHT RATES ON R. G. W. 1 Ephraim, May 27. The committee which was to investigate freight rates in Sanpete, Sevier and Piute counties coun-ties met at Marysvale and decided to ask General Manager Rldgway of the Denver and Rio Grande railway to name some point in the three counties as a common rate point. Other places In tho state have common rate points and no reason can be given why this part of the state ought not to bo given like privileges. Elder Francis Rasmusson returned from a mission in Loulslaua on Thursday. Thurs-day. Mrs. Pert Seeley received a telegram tele-gram from her husband stating that he is In Seattle, on his way homo from a mission in Japan, where he has been laboring for four years. The Ephraim public school children gave a splendid operatta Friday and Saturday evenings, entitled "The Four Leafed Clover." Both performances were well patronized. |
