The First District Medical society of Utah will hold its semi-annual convention con-vention at Carneglo library. Ogden. on Wednesday. June 2nd. About, fifty r.hysiclans and surgeons are expected lo be present and a highly Instructive Instruc-tive program has been arranged. i Since the organization of the State Medical society, Utah has been divided divid-ed Into three districts, tho first of which Includes all that portion of the Male north of Salt Lake and a portion ef southern Idaho. These societies meet twice each year for the purpose ot- discussing various Important topics and until last ypar, the gatherings have been for members of the profession only. Last year, however, following the example set by the National Medical association: the meetings were made public and the one to be held next week will also welcome the people at large. These conentlops are naturally of a seml-publlc seml-publlc character inasmuch as topics are discussed which are of vital Interest In-terest to the people and especially interesting in-teresting to boards of education, anl I county and city officials, as will be noted by examining th, program. The entire day will be taken up with the prepared program, after which a banquet will be served In Ogden canyon to members of the medical med-ical society. The following day, June 3, those of the members who can spare an additional day will meet in business session for the discussion or medical topics, as well as for the election of officers and to prepare for the next convention.
