Show FINE CLAIMS IN AM. FORK CANYON Old Miller, Dutchman, Com6tock and Others in Good Ore Bodies. American Fork Jan. 24. Miners from the Millar lease, which is located on Miller hill, on what is known as tho old Miller property, have arrived here, and report the uncovering of one of the biggest bodies of ore that has over been opened in this ground. The report Is well confirmed and carries car-ries with It considerable significance, when it is known that during the past three years, tho time when the Tynt; brothers operated tho mine under lease, they oponed up a body of ore from which something over $300,000 was extracted, and a number of smaller small-er ones, from which a total of $1,500,-000 $1,500,-000 was taken out The Millar loase is owned by Taylor & Brown of Salt Lake City. They bavo been operating tho lease for about six months, having secured it at the expiration cf tho Tync lease, since which time thy have developed it in i satisfactory manner and have done much new work, which was . made necessary in order that some of tho ore which was left unoxtracted might be handled without a great expense. Since the lease was secured the new owners have shipped a large amount ot ore. which has netted them considerable consid-erable profit, but It remained to open up the last Immense body of fine galena ga-lena ore to ad-1 the crowning stone for tho future of the well-known property, proper-ty, which in its day has produced approximately ap-proximately $2,500,000, and which was the objective point when the Aspln-wall Aspln-wall estate built a narrow gauge railway rail-way Into the .American Fork canyon. |
