Numerous civil ecrvlce examinations are to bo held In this city on February 17, 24 and 25. and on March 3. In addition to thoso already announced for February 17, there will bo an examination for ellg-lbles ellg-lbles for veterinarian in the Philippine Philip-pine service, at a salary of 1,600 a j ear. The agj limit will bo 18 to 40 on the date of examination. Another will be for physician in the Philippine Philip-pine service. There are at the present pres-ent time seven vacancies in the position po-sition of medical inspector, at a Salary Sal-ary of $2,000 a year, and several other oth-er vacancies in positions carrying a salary of from $1,200 to $1,800 a year. The same age limit as in the first applies. ap-plies. Several topographic aides in the geological survey at Washington are desired. The positions carry salaries salar-ies ranging from $840 to $1,200 a year, and the examinations will be held bero on February 24-25. An examination for a computer in the supervising architect's ar-chitect's office, at the same time. Tho palary is $1,600 a year, and Is open only to men. Uncle Sam also wants a number of I junior chemista to fill several vacancies vacan-cies in the geological survey at Washington, Wash-ington, at salaries of from $1,020 to $1,380 a year, and a farmer with a knowledge of Irrigation for the Indian service at tho Sissoton school. South Dakota, at $720 a year. There are also other vacnncios for farmers in the same service at from $600 to $900 a year. Ogden is in need of a janitor ror her forest servlco, and a civil service examination ex-amination will be held here on March S, to secure elijjiblea for this and other oth-er positions. The salary Is $240 a year for the Ogden position. |
