' j Glfford Plnchot, In his Tabernacle 1 address, confessed that the Impres-' Impres-' 6lon made upon him during his pres-i once at tho session of the National lr- j rlgation Congress in Ogden was a weighty factor In deciding on the location lo-cation of the forestry headquarters for this district. J This Is something the people ot . Ogden should ponder over. The benefits ben-efits of booEting are brought homo to us. The Congress might have ap-i ap-i peared as a thing of passing worth only, to be 'classed with holiday jollifications, jol-lifications, but evidently It was some-! some-! thing more. Aside from the work ot the conj;re8R, the gathering helped to draw outside attention to one ot tho most beautiful spots In the United States and gavo men or the broad view i! of Mr. Plnchot a surprise which held their admiration even after they had left the city. Why not another congress, this time I , the Wool Growers' convention, and why not put the same thought and energy jnto making the event a suc- , cess? And again, why not go out after ! other conventions and become famous ; as a convention city whose people are hospitable, enterprising and worthy or even a greater city. |
