Show THOMAS JONES DIES SUDDENLY IN SALOON Asthma 16 Supposed to Be Primarily the Cause of Death. , i Salt Lake.March 26. Thomas Jones, aged 52 years, for some time past porter at the Casa Blanca bar, 71 Commercial Com-mercial street, suddenly died Thursday Thurs-day evening inan Intoxicated stupor. Jones had been suffering I rem asthma for several years prior to his death, and It Is believed that thl3 trouble, superinduced by an overdose or liquor, liq-uor, caused his death. Jones went into the lavatory or the fjtiloon shortly after 8 o'clock Thursday Thurs-day evening, and had not been lh there but a few seconds when there was the eound of a heavy fall Rushing. Into the lavatory, the bartender Iound Jones Ijlng in an unconscious condition condi-tion on tho rioor. He Immediately picked tho unfortunate man up ana took him out of the lavatory, placing him on the floor in the middle ot the ealoon, where be died within rive minutes. min-utes. Police headquarters was notified, noti-fied, and Patrolman Gillespie went to the scene only to find the man beyond human aid. Coroner Stanley A. Hanks was also sent for, and arrived some time later. He examined the body and declared that the man h ad dlod from natural causes and ordered the body removed to the undertaking establishment ot Ebor W. Hall. Jones had no relatives In this city and wa3 not very widely known. i |
