Show JAPANESE WILL FIGHT CASE CHARGE OF SELLING LIQUOR IS CONTESTED. Test of Validity of Ordinance Will Be Made Japs Bought Liquor For Young Men at Saloon. Tho cases of Y. Ishlgni and Y. It is contended that the Japs, who furnished liquor to a party of young men and their girl companions at a roodle joint Tuesday night, did not sell the liquor mentioned at a prolit, 1 tut simply bought it at a nearby saloon sa-loon at the usual retail price and turned It over to the purchasers. It Is also contended that, they de-l?vered de-l?vered It to the young men, who were ln a room adjoining that occupied by the girls, in which case, it is claimed, the defendants are not guilty of furnishing fur-nishing liquor to females. While admitting ad-mitting that the liquor was furnished 1o the persons mentioned, the defendants defend-ants claim that the ordinance Is invalid, in-valid, and the case will be fought along that line. |
